Indians to Indigenous: The Heartbeat of Culture and Music with Raegan C. Knox

We will discuss the heart beat of Mother Earth, Drum, rich and exciting methods of storytelling, Dance, and who we are as a people, History. Let’s have an open conversation about the culture and how you can appropriately honor the culture in sessions. So lace up your moccasins…..”

Raegan is an indigenous woman from the Lumbee tribe of North Carolina. She received her Bachelors in Music Therapy from East Carolina University in 2022. She is a Creative Expressive Arts Therapist at Caswell Developmental Center located in Kinston, North Carolina. She became an American Premiere in 2022 for the performance of the Appropriation Aria composed by Marian Newman. She loves to crochet, sing and perform with her residents in their rock band at Caswell, travel, and try new things!
